Our team of experienced Speech-Language Pathologists are dedicated to improving speech, language, and learning skills in children! All of our therapists are licensed by the state of Georgia and hold the certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Each therapist participates in regular continuing education courses to further their skills and to keep up with the latest programs, research, and techniques in the field of speech-language pathology.
Allyson Jacobi - M.S., CCC-SLP is the Owner and Clinical Director for I-xcel Speech & Language. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist for 11 years. Allyson earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders in 1997 and a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology in 1999 from the University of Mississippi. Her experience includes public and private school, private practice, and hospitals with children and adults. She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the Georgia Speech Language Hearing Association, and the Learning Disabilities Association of America. Allyson specializes in working with children to improve articulation and phonological development, language, and auditory processing skills of preschool and school aged children. She is certified in Fast ForWord and Interactive Metronome. Allyson lives in Cumming with her husband and three young children.
Betsy Clark - Ed.S., CCC-SLP earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 1997 from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Memphis in 1999. She completed an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Mississippi State University in 2001. She has 11 years experience working with children in a variety of settings including public schools, private clinics and home health. She has extensive experience in preschool phonological processing disorders and early language therapy.
Betsy lives in Cumming with her husband, and two young children.
Liz Krupit - M.S.,CCC-SLP earned a Masters Degree from the University of South Florida in 1994. She has 14 years experience as a pediatric speech-language pathologist. She has worked in private practice, schools, and hospital settings. Liz specializes in early intervention, early language and articulation development, feeding, and oral apraxia. She lives in Suwanee with her husband and three daughters.
Kate Garmon - M.Ed., CCC-SLP earned a Masters of Education in Communication Disorders from Georgia State University in 1999. She has 11 years experience as a speech-language pathologist in school, hospital, home health, and private practice settings. Kate specializes in treatment of language, fluency, and articulation disorders in preschool and school aged children. Kate lives in Cumming with her husband and three young children.
Deb Notarnicola - M.S., CCC-SLP earned a Masters degree in speech language pathology from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2004. She has 6 years experience as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in the educational and home based settings. Deb specializes in the treatment of language, articulation, and auditory processing in the school aged child. She is trained in the Orton Gillingham Mulitsensory Reading Program. In addition, Deb also coordinated and runs social groups for children. She lives in Cumming with her husband and daughter.
